Download the new Attalus song Albatross for free over at their indiegogo campaign page. The song comes from the new album that they are trying to fund through indiegogo. The new album, Into The Sea, is a concept album that they have been working on for the past 2 years. The album will consist of 16 songs and will be mixed by Mike Watts, who has worked with bands such as As Cities Burn, Transit and Brand New.
If you enjoy Emery or Thrice I would recommend you check out Attalus, if you don't know who they are already. They are easily one of my favorite bands, great music, fantastic lyrics! So go and support them in making this album a reality. You will get to download 4 rough versions of songs from the album within 24 hours of contributing.

Showbread have released their new album Cancer for free download over at Come & Live. The album is a science fiction concept album that takes place on a planet called Cancer, which sounds strangely like the planet I live on. From what the Come & Live site says the story follows a rebellious rock musician that attempts to use his punk rock band to lead a revolt against inter-dimensional fascists in a not-so-distant American future.
I won't get to much into reviewing the album, there are many other places to find that if you so desire. To give you an idea of what to expect, from the band that you never know what to expect, Cancer is musically a mix of all of their previous albums with the addition of some new styles as well. Most important to many fans the album brings back the screams many have come to love with Showbread, that were non-existent in their last release Who Can Know It. Although I personally did not miss them I think they put out a solid album without them, but I do enjoy that they are back. Read the rest of this entry

This is not a download for the full album To Plant A Seed by We Came As Romans, just the title track from that album. You can also get the second track off the album at their website as well. Their album To Plant A Seed was the bands first full-length release and it was also their first music released with a record label.
The lead singer has said that they are not a "Christian Band", and technically they are not I guess because there are non-Christians in the band. But the lead singer is a Christian and he also writes the lyrics. His Christian faith comes out alot in his lyrics so as far as I'm concerned it's Christian music. Read the rest of this entry

Solid State Records is a sister label of Tooth & Nail Records. They were started to showcase the heavier bands that did not fit as well with the rest of the bands on Tooth & Nail. This album is different from the compilation, I Am Solid State, you can download for free on their Facebook page.
Although it does have three repeat songs from I Am Solid State it has plenty of new stuff for you to listen too. There are also two songs that appear on the Tooth & Nail Sampler that I just posted. Those two songs come from Underoath and Emery, the two bands with a sound that is always riding the line between Solid State and Tooth & Nail. Read the rest of this entry

Tooth & Nail Records gives away some more free music. This sampler is thirteen songs that show off some of the diverse genres that they offer. Sure there is plenty of poppy punk songs but there is some different songs mix. I may be fairly out of touch with the Tooth & Nail Records band roster because there is a lot of bands on here I have never heard of.
They start the sampler off with one of my favorite bands to ever come from Tooth & Nail. Right away I noticed that it seems Emery got a bit heavier than I remember, definitely the heaviest song on the album. Followed my Underoath's new song Paper Lung which is another great song from them, that one ends a bit heavier as well. They include The Almost song Monster Monster even though it is fairly older, kinda wish they would just stick to newer music for samplers. Swimming With Dolphins song Sleep To Dream has a bit of a 80s synthpop feel to it, and they do it well. To be honest I'm not the biggest fan of poppy punk music so a handful of songs from this album will not end up in my regular playlist. They finish off the sampler with a live version of Fire It Up by Thousand Foot Krutch. I always enjoy the upbeat hard rock songs that they release. They have a way of making songs that are fun and catchy that end up stuck in your head. Read the rest of this entry

Crazy Crazy Awesome Awesome is not every ones cup of tea clearly, based on the reviews that I browsed through on the web. I saw it most labeled as crunkcore, which I can only guess is screamo, rap and electronica all wrapped up in one, because that's what it sounds like.
Many people compared them to Brokencyde, but I don't know who that is and didn't care to check them out. I think anyone who enjoys Family Force 5 should probably give it a try. Their styles are similar but unlike FF5's lyrics, which seem to be mostly about dancing and very little about their Christian faith, Crazy Crazy Awesome Awesome does not hide their faith in the least. They put out lots of great Christian messages through their lyrics, two songs are spoken word talking about scriptures. This is one thing that I really like about this album because since I downloaded it two weeks ago it is the only thing that my kids have been requesting to listen to, they LOVE it!!!
