ToddZero is giving away his new album, Kid Heart, over at Noisetrade. Not sure how long this will be up for free because it will be seeing an official release on June 4th through Hembot Recordings. I really enjoyed his first EP and this album shows great growth in his music. Building on what he did so well with his indie rock sound he also integrates some electronic elements/synth into this album. I highly recommend getting this album. Fantastic indie rock music! Positive Christian message.
ToddZero has recently moved his website as well as his Facebook page using ToddZero as his name instead of Todd0. Which is odd because I always thought it was ToddO, as in the letter O. Anyways you can find his new website here www.toddzero.com and new Facebook page here ToddZero.

Paper Route is giving their latest album, The Peace Of Wild Things, for free over at Noisetrade. The album was released late last year and was the bands first album since one of their founding members, Andy Smith, left the band. I bought this album shortly after it was released and do not regret spending money for it, but you can pick it up for free!!!
After downloading the bands last album, Absence, (which can still be downloaded for free here Paper Route – Absence) I fell in love with the bands sound. A mix of indie rock/synthpop, the music just had a different sound than most other stuff you find out there. When I heard that Andy Smith was leaving the band I was disappointed because from what I understand he played a big part in the writing process of the music. But after hearing The Peace Of Wild Things I was not disappointed at all, even though the sound has changed a bit.

Josh Garrels is giving away his complete discography for free for two weeks over at Noisetrade. If you would like to read more about what is happening and what they are doing to help over in Congo go here http://worldrelief.org/congo-crisis.
I fell in love with Josh Garrels' music when he gave away his last release Love & War & The Sea In Between for free. After that I ended up buying his album Jacaranda but never got around to buying the rest. This was a great opportunity to get the rest of his music and help a great cause. Read the rest of this entry

Get a free download of Paper Route's album Absence for free over at NoiseTrade. The download also includes the bonus song Better Life, which comes from their newest album The Peace Of Wild Things. I'm not sure why it took me so long to post this because it has been up for a long time. Since I have downloaded it I have fell in love with their music, Fantastic Stuff!!!
When speaking of the album many people compare to bands such as The Postal Service, Coldplay, Mutemath, and Depeche Mode. I actually thought of Radiohead's Kid A/Amnesiac era as well. The music is a blend of indie rock and electro pop. Read the rest of this entry

Showbread have released their new album Cancer for free download over at Come & Live. The album is a science fiction concept album that takes place on a planet called Cancer, which sounds strangely like the planet I live on. From what the Come & Live site says the story follows a rebellious rock musician that attempts to use his punk rock band to lead a revolt against inter-dimensional fascists in a not-so-distant American future.
I won't get to much into reviewing the album, there are many other places to find that if you so desire. To give you an idea of what to expect, from the band that you never know what to expect, Cancer is musically a mix of all of their previous albums with the addition of some new styles as well. Most important to many fans the album brings back the screams many have come to love with Showbread, that were non-existent in their last release Who Can Know It. Although I personally did not miss them I think they put out a solid album without them, but I do enjoy that they are back. Read the rest of this entry

Topherman have put up their self-titled album for free download again over at Noisetrade. They mentioned on their Facebook that the reason for putting it back up was because they have been getting a great response with their new EP Seek.
Topherman is an indie rock/worship band out of Jackson, Mississippi. For the most part I would throw them in the indie rock category but they cover many different genres on the album including blues on Cold And Lonely, post-rock on The Experimental, a bit of a country on Tower Of Lies, among others. Noisetrade says they are for fans of for fans of Cool Hand Luke, The City Harmonic, Explosions in the Sky, and Jesus Culture. Read the rest of this entry

Download JudahCall's new single Hoover for free over at the Aussie Christian Gigs Bandcamp page. You can check out the lyrics to the song in the Youtube video below if you would like. The song is inspired by Erwin McManus' book Wide Awake.
JudahCall is an electro rock band out of Sydney, Australia. They have released two EPs so far City in 2008 and Follow The Sun in 2011. Follow the sun can be purchased at their Bandcamp page at the link below. The two earlier EPs have more of a straight indie rock sound as opposed to the new single, Hoover, which incorporates alot of electronic synths and samples. It seems this is the direction they have headed for their new EP which should be out later this year. Read the rest of this entry

Ravenhill has just released a new EP of demos for free download over at their Bandcamp page called Bedroom Demos. The first 3 songs on the EP were recorded just by Josh Clifton the lead singer/guitarist. These are just rough acoustic demos that may become actual Ravenhill songs someday. They mention that this is the how the process starts with a lot of the bands songs. The last 4 songs are demos recorded with the full band back in 2010. The Shakes and Stranger were later re-recorded on the EP Lions, which is available for download here. Ravenhill – Lions (EP) Read the rest of this entry

Heath McNease just released a new album titled The Weight Of Glory. The album is twelve songs that are inspired by C.S. Lewis' writings. You can head over to Heath's Bandcamp page to get the album. You will be able to name your own price for the full album when it is released. As he did with his last album he is giving away different product packages if you do give money. The packages include things like CDs, shirts, a personalized song wrote just for you, and more.
Here is a video of Heath talking a bit about The Weight Of Glory. He mentions on the video that there is not very much rapping on the album, which is what his last album, Thrift Store Jesus, consisted mostly of. In fact I believe Mere Christianity is the only song that has any rap and it's only a small amount at the end of the song. As he says in the video the album is more indie/folk rock influenced.
