Conquest released an EP earlier this year called R.A.G.E. (Revenge Against God's Enemies). On it here are many different mixes of the song R.A.G.E. as well as six additional songs. This is a hip-hop/rap album but he mixes some rock elements within his songs especially on the main track R.A.G.E., where the music is for the most part rock and there are even some metal style growls in his vocals.

On the EP he hits some touchy subjects. R.A.G.E. is based on Romans 12:19 where God speaks on vengeance and injustices being his and not man's, in it he talks about many different things like the Columbine And Virginia Tech shootings as well as his own experience where he was almost sexually violated by a Brooklyn pastor. On others he hits on people talking about others and taking shots at others in and underhanded way, then after being approached about it they deny everything, he responds to people who accuse him of not being "black" enough, and he talks about how the Christian church and the Christian music community judges current secular artists. This is actually a remix of a remix of Lacrae's song Jesus Muzik, from his album After The Music Stops. The original remix is a dubstep remix done by Karac, then
Wavedude took it and remixed it again. I like the original but Wavedude gave it a metal feel, and I'm a big fan of metal so I enjoy it quite a bit.

You can stream it on SoundCloud but the download limit has been met, so he put a link under the stream so you can download it on Mediafire. There is also a link below going to the original dubstep remix by Karac. Enjoy! Read the rest of this entry

Flame – Show Out (Feat. Lecrae)

Hip-hop/rap artist Flame has a new album out called The 6th. This is one of the tracks from that album called Show Out, which features Lecrae. The full album includes many other guests on it as well including Young Noah, Chris Lee, AD3, V.Rose, DecembeRadio, Steve T, and Thi'sl.

I have not listened to the full album but from what I understand if you enjoy Flame's past albums you will prolly enjoy this one as well, he does not stray much from his sound on it. That is one of the complaints that I see most from reviews, it's the same old music and same old sound. But generally in the comment section of these reviews I see fans of Flame saying they love it. Heath McNease is an experimental hip-hop/rap artist. At the core his music is hip-hop/rap but he has many other influences throughout his music. Just recently on his Bandcamp page he released a new single called KONY (Killers Of Nationwide Youth). This came about when he saw the video Kony 2012, that was released by the organization Invisible Children. After watching it he was inspired to write this song about it. The song is about his feelings on the issue in Uganda with the LRA (Lord's Resistance Army) and Joseph Kony. But it also touches on the fact that similar stuff happens everywhere, even in the US.
