A while back I posted a free download of the song Lift Up My Soul by Judah And The Lion. Now you can download the full EP that the song came from, it is titled First Fruits. I ended up buying this EP after listening to the free song that they posted, it's a fantastic debut. From what I understand the full EP will only be available for free download for a week, so get it while you can. I ended up downloading it again because they have also included 2 live songs that were not included in the EP, Fill This House and Love Your Love. Read the rest of this entry
Download new Brandon Heath music for free thanx to iTickets. You can get a free download of Brandon's song The Harvester, which is the opening track to his newly released album Blue Mountain. Blue Mountain was just released on the 5th and can be sampled or purchased at Amazon or iTunes.
The new album is a bit of a departure from his normal contemporary pop-rock sound. From what I understand and from listening to this song I can hear the new sound come out. The Harvester has some heavy country and bluegrass influence which is what you can expect from the rest of the album as well. I can honestly say I've never been a huge fan of Brandon's music. Not saying his music is bad, he makes good music, it's just that the style isn't much my thing. Contemporary worship music all kinda starts sounding the same after a while I guess. But this song makes me want to check out the rest of his new album. Read the rest of this entry

They are part of the Enter The Worship Circle project and are joined by fellow Enter The Worship Circle artist, Aaron Strumpel, who is the producer for the album, Reckless.
The duo plays many different instruments on the album, violin, harmonica, mandolin, acoustic guitar, and they are joined by Steve Holley on upright bass. This gives the album a sound that covers a handful of different genres throughout their songs, bluegrass, folk, blues, chamber, but with all the different styles represented this is at it's core a worship album. The River Empires is one of the many projects from Jessy Ribordy. You may know Jessy as being the lead singer of the hard rock band Falling Up. You may know Jessy as being the brains behind the pop rock band The Gloomcatcher. Well Jessy is also the lead singer and brains behind the band The River Empires.
On their Bandcamp page they label themselves as cinematic bluegrass. On NoiseTrade they label them under ambient and recommend them for fans of Rufus Wainwright, Jeff Buckley, and David Gray. I'm assuming this is a sample of what is to come from there next release that they have been working on that is supposed to be out later this year. Read the rest of this entry
